Secret Cave Projects, Ltd. is a small non profit company set up to govern the publishing, sales and donations related to the book The Secret Home.

Established with the assistance of Justice Connect and the Sparke Helmore Lawyers Pro Bono Program, Secret Cave Projects is a Not-for-profit Company Limited by Guarantee, and is registered with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).

In the spirit of The Secret Home, 10% of the cover price from the sale of each copy is donated to charitable organsiations providing humanitarian support to refugees and people seeking asylum.

 

People

Myfanwy Jones, Director

Myfanwy Jones is author of novels The Rainy Season, shortlisted for the Melbourne Prize for Literature’s Best Writing Award 2010 and Leap, long-listed for the 2016 Voss Literary Prize and finalist for the Miles Franklin Literary Award. She also co-authored the bestselling Parlour Games for Modern Families, awarded ABIA Book of the Year for Older Children 2010. Myfanwy also works as a structural editor, and mentors emerging writers. She resides by a creek in Melbourne.

Michaela Stubbs, Director

Michaela has worked in the Not-for-profit sector for more than twenty years. She has worked passionately in the areas of environment protection campaigning, as a chef in a vibrant community cafe, and as a Volunteer Manager.  She works currently as the Programming Coordinator at 3CR Community Radio Station.  She lives and works in Melbourne.

Andy Mia Kranz, Director & Secretary

As well and wriitng and illustrating The Secret Home, Andy has worked as a medical practitioner and maker of fine furniture. She currently works as a lecturer in health science and as a shiatsu practitioner, and lives in Melbourne with her two children.

Governance

Secret Cave Projects Ltd. is governed by a Board of Directors in accordance with it’s constitution and the legal requirements of a not-for-profit Company Limited by Guarantee.
